The Recreation Ground AGM was held recently and congratulations to Andy Adams who was elected as President for the 2019 year. All other positions were filled by the incumbent committee members. Football season for us starts on April 6th at Torrens Valley but before then we will have already played a couple of trial games.

Our AGM is on 20 March. We welcome any members of the Community to come along, get involved and have your say. Each year we barely break even, costs are always going up and we struggle to maintain our assets. The last thing we want to do is hand over the grounds to the council or be forced to lock the site and only open for members.

Well Cherry Chatter readers the football season is fast approaching, and our senior players are already well into the pre-season training. The 2018 season was really a great success for the club and we are hoping and working towards 2019 being at least as good. Our Seniors are keen for “back to back” premierships.

It was good to have a break from cricket, but we're back into the swing of things with some good results already. To date our top wicket takers for the season are- James Wissell 11, Riley Allison 8, Finn Baker 6. We are very happy that the work has started on the upgrade to the playground area at the Recreation ground. There are also new concrete paths.

Exciting times at the football club as we near the end of the season. Very good chance that all our teams, with the exception of our U12 lads, will play finals and with only 2 games left of the minor round (as of August 7th) it looks very promising that the B’s will finish on top of the ladder and the A’s at least in second place and both these are great results for our club and the players.

Our football season is now at the halfway mark and we are about to start the second round of games against the rest of the competition. It is a bit of a mixed bag for the club with some teams doing really well but others struggling. That being said as a football club we are very happy with how we are travelling and proud of all our players, teams and support volunteers.
