Football Club

Our football season started on the first weekend in April.

After a few long months of training, recruiting and preparation the juniors and men’s teams finally got on the oval and played footy. The juniors have had mixed success and are enjoying their games and getting to know their teammates and the coaches game plans.

Our seniors have done well with good wins. Our A’s are keen to go back to back premiers after such a good win in the Grand Final in 2018 and the B’s just want to go that one better and win the Grand Final.

Our first home game was on April 13th and it was our Sponsors and Members Day.

I can’t place enough emphasis on how important both our sponsors and members are to the success and sustainability of the club. Without them we would cease to exist, and it would be such a shame that such a great outlet for the kids and youth for fitness and wellbeing could not be there.

Memberships

If you would like to do your bit to help the club, then becoming a member would be a great place to start. The annual membership is only $80 and this gets you in to all home games, a 2 for the price of one meal on Saturday nights and 6 drink vouchers, as well as a 10% discount on events and merchandise. Anyone interested can email the club at info@ironbankfootball.com.au

In 2019 we will have 8 home games and we would love to see locals come along and watch good quality local footy. Park in the car around the boundary if you like, or mix with the club supporters under the veranda.

By the way, our women’s team started their season on the last weekend in April and this season they are also playing in the Hills League.
