Minton Farm

I reckon this young lady has doubled in size whilst here! She was attacked by a cat from a neighbouring house in Aberfoyle Park. I suggested the rescuer release it on the other side of her property but she said that there are cats outside there too!

What are people to do to assist wildlife when they are surrounded by cats?

From a bare back to furred back in a matter of weeks! This ringtail possum was caught by a maremma dog but has fully recovered and has enough fur to keep warm now. She’s going home to her family tonight.

The magnificent gum (below) was burning on both sides of its trunk when the fire fighters found it. They extinguished the flames and she has survived the ordeal. Many gums and bottlebrush are shooting at their bases so we cut down the burnt trunks and limbs to help them recover. Young Acacias and Eucalyptus have germinated from the heat on the seeds in the soil along with many weed species. The colours of the landscape are inspiring and devastating at the same time.

The wildlife is suffering with the cold and wet conditions out there! This poor female kookaburra is feeling worse for wear and being hammered by other Kooky’s to boot!!

Please share our online petition to change laws to control wandering cats.

A paper-based petition will be recognized by Parliament but a digital petition showing support will help! You can go to our facebook page and follow the link:

To help make real legislative change you must download, print, sign and collect signatures for the physical petition which is the only type of petition that the SA Parliament accepts. They won’t accept the online petition.

If you can go to the link below then download the petition, print it out and get as many friends and family to sign it. https://drive.google.com/.../1LxQvSxhSGPjIxo.../view
